The Thesionary
Introduction:
The compilers have compiled in this
translated Kinaray-a-Filipino-English mini-dictionary hundreds of the most
common Kinaray-a words based on the fundamental word lists compiled from
variety of people from different places in Western Visayas.
This rich vocabulary contains words such as the
different part of the body, values, words about love, measurements, fruits and
vegetables, foods, words related to farming and everyday life of the people in
the rural areas. It is very practical. The Filipino and English have been
chosen for their faithfulness, transparency and simplicity in translation of
Kinaray-a words as used in everyday conversations.
Kinaray-a words have been
incorporated together with their Filipino and English words to enrich the
understanding of the Ilonggos as well as the Filipinos in general with using
this unique language.
